Since we have a number of picture-heavy posts coming up, here's a brief note on pictures at the Wilson Odyssey.
Last summer we noticed that sometimes our photos don't always show up as large as we'd like them to, so we've increased the size of the base files for new posts this year. Remember that you can always click on pictures to see them at full size -- which may mean that you'll have to adjust the settings on your browser if you want to see the whole picture on screen. We upload at a moderate resolution, which is probably not good enough for nice prints on paper, but hopefully good enough for everyone to see detail.

Does your ISP allow you to access Picasa Web Albums? If so, you could defray some of the size issues of hosting the pictures, and people can order prints (or download them). Also the captions on the pictures are pretty easy and we, the readerfolk, can comment on the pictures easy.
